Look at the article in the link here. The Bishop plans not to prosecute a UM minister who married his son to his gay partner. I think this is great news, that this bishop is willing to allow ministers to care for their church members even though the General Conference has not yet been able to modify the discipline on these matters.

I agree with this Bishop
I would be disappointed in a pastor who did not officiate at a child’s wedding. Jesus showed us, by His example in the Prodigal Son, that we need to value all people and welcome them with love. Jesus showed us, by His example of healing on the Sabbeth, that some rules must be broken in order to “do justice. and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with … God.” My response to Bishop McLee is a resounding AMEN!
